Support for Minority Mental Health Issues
You can use SF MRA funds for mental health treatments
Mental health issues like anxiety and depression are common – more than 1 in 5 US adults live with a mental health issue.
Minority groups, such as immigrants, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ people experience higher rates of mental health issues. Often, minority groups do not get help. This may be due to cultural shame, fear of what others may think, or lack of access to health care.
Symptoms of mental health issues:

- Loss of interest or joy in hobbies or social meetings
- Feeling tired or having no energy
- Weight gain or loss
- Changes in sleeping or eating patterns
- Trouble with focus and memory
- Thoughts of hurting yourself or others
